• Microsoft Subcontractor since 2002 for Windows XP, Vista, 7, Office 2000, XP, 2003, 7. Tools used: Logoport, SDL Trados. Scope: 1-2 M words per year.

Technology and Tools

This section describes the the type of tools and technologies that you use or may provide.
Our ERP system was and is being developed by our selves to ensure immediate adoptions and upgrades when needed. All offices use the same resources and a centralized database to ensure maximum flexibility and capacity. This system has no proved itself for more than 10 years to our satisfaction.

Further we use a wide variety of translation tools depending on the requirements of the partner and the scope of the project. Tools commonly used are SDL Trados, Logoport, Across Language Server, Transit, DejaVue, TagEditor. All tools are the latest (and previous) versions.

Also due to the technical understanding of our selected translators and our inhouse IT support we also have the capacity to use any specific tool provided by the partner.

Resources and Infrastructure

Our ressources: Jensen Localization currently handles +/- 20 M words per year whith a growth rate of 20% per year.

Our Procedures
Project Management
A dedicated Project Manager is assigned to each project. The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating the project and is the client’s contact person, who knows the project in detail. This way one of the most important conditions for a successful project resulting in a perfect localization is assured: communication.

Time and Phase Planning
For all large projects, the partner and Jensen Localization create a project plan outlining tasks, benchmarks, deadlines and objectives before the localization process starts.

Translation Process
During the translation process the communication with the client is continuous. We filter the queries raised by the translator so that the client only has to take care of those that really have to do with his/her business.

Terminology Management
Terminology can either be based on the partner's requirements and preferences or on standard Microsoft terminology and the Microsoft style guide. For those partners who are beginners in localizing we provide them with linguistic advising so that they know which terms and expressions are used on each of the communities they localize their products to.

QC – Quality Control
Before delivering the localized product, it is meticulously checked and approved by our quality control department including proof-reading, testing (software) and the partner’s other requirements.

Immediate Implementation
We can deliver the localized product in almost any format required, ready for import or printing and, if you want, we can update your software or website. We can even deliver the final compilation of your software ready for installation.
